Jobs and Opportunities

If you are looking to be a video game news journalist, you'll want to go here instead.

Thank you for having interest in the jobs and opportunities that Division-Gaming Network has to offer. The entire staff of Division-Gaming, whether they are news journalists or network management, are dedicated to the continued growth of the entire network.  The staff, although mostly made up of volunteers, is a friendly and hardworking group of people to work with.  We want you to become a part of that experience.  While most positions are currently volunteer only, we do have a few management positions that are paid.  Within the next few months, hopefully by summer 2011, our goal is to be able to pay all of our workers, including our journalists. That goal will only be reachable if we have a dedicated and hardworking team of volunteers to get us there.  All of the positions listed below are available until filled.

If applying for any of the positions listed below, please send us a resume that explains to us a little bit about who you are, a relatively short cover letter explaining which position you are interested in, and a list of any experience you have that would help secure you the job. However, experience is not necessarily required.  The e-mail address is staff [at] division-gaming.net.

The promotions/marketing director assists the General Manager and Program Manager in developing and implementing concepts which generate revenue for the network and expand the fan base. This person will be responsible for finding, securing, and maintaining relationships with other websites and businesses. This person must possess excellent communication skills in order to better represent Division-Gaming Network, as this person will often be in contact with other businesses.

Productions Manager - (Audio/Visual Designer)

At the head of our media department is the Productions Manager. Professional video and audio design skills are a must. Experience from a previous job is not required, but a video design demo of your work will be required. The Productions Manager will be in charge of creating any video material that is needed throughout the network, including material for GameDwellers.com. Designing and managing (not hosting) a weekly podcast or a weekly webshow may be one of the assignments. Already owning professional design software is a plus, but not a necessity. The necessary software will be provided.

Principal Web Designer

Division-Gaming Network is in need of a new website designer. To start, this person must atleast be familiar with the structure of HTML, CSS, and PHP. Being able to code an entire site in these languages from scratch is not required, but definitely a plus. Experience and/or familiarity with other programming languages is also encouraged. The principal web designer will assist the Design Manager in creating new websites, designing new website designs/layouts, coding new scripts for site add-ons/extensions/plugins, etc. This person needs to be creative and be able to work well with others, as well as by themselves.

To apply for any of the above positions, send us a resume that explains to us a little bit about who you are, a relatively short cover letter explaining which position you are interested in, and a list of any experience you have that would help secure you the job.
